Looking for Consultants?

What we do

Paul J. Donoghue and Mary E. SiegelDrs. Donoghue and Siegel have as their goal as consultants to make effective meeting happen. Their programs assist managers to meet those they manage, parents to meet their children, teachers to meet their students, teams and board members to meet one another. When meeting happens through good communication, teamwork replaces individual efforts that shoot off in opposite directions, cooperation replaces unhealthy competition, trust replaces suspicion.

Over 15,000 individuals from organizations ranging from business, to military, civic, religious, medical and educational have participated in their workshops and training programs. Companies such as Citigroup, Northwestern Mutual and General Electric have been clients as have universities, private and public schools, hospitals and nursing programs.

At their programs you will learn to communicate effectively in order to:

  1. Handle problem situations and people.
  2. Build a productive and satisfied team.
  3. Motivate others to maximum effort.
  4. Establish an atmosphere of trust.
  5. Stay enthusiastic and motivate yourself.

You will learn to identify your own patterns of behavior in managing from actions that avoid conflict at all costs to behaviors that cause tension at all times.

You will learn to give feedback, criticism and praise in ways that effect and promote change not hostility or arrogance.

You will learn to resolve clashes and unhealthy competition between employees.

You will learn to listen non-defensively to grievances from direct reports and criticisms from superiors.

For the leader or manager, effective listening is a necessary skill. It helps to establish the kinds of working relationships that get results. The authors of Are You Really Listening? describe the situations all of us encounter at work that are resolved only by good listening. I recommend them as superb teachers and consultants.
